The Articulation staff and service offerings expanded considerably during 2006. We established a presence on the east coast—opening an office in New York—and we now offer public relations services to clients who need to get their message out through appropriate media outlets. Our creative staff has also increased and now includes a key executive with significant advertising and PR experience as well as an in-house designer specializing in both print and web. This expansion results in our ability to offer more comprehensive branding, marketing, and public relations services to each of our clients. For a complete list of service offerings, see the Expertise tab of the site.
It was recently reported by Mediaweek that CBS has already sold out about 80% of the ads that will appear in the Super Bowl telecast on February 4, 2007. Early reports indicate that the spots are going for $2.6 million per 30-second unit on the high end, with an average price in line with last year’s $2.4 million average for ABC. Many of the same names as prior years are in line to promote their brands, hoping to capitalize on even more than the 130 million U.S. viewers who tuned in last year. Sports fans are certainly hoping for a more compelling match up than 2006, but regardless of who plays, people will continue to watch both the game and the commercials.
Inside the Industry
Throughout quarter, the Articulation team worked extensively on a branding project that launched in December. The team helped to re-design and re-launch an entire internal and client-facing marketing package for a national consumer lending firm. The firm is a specialized medical lender and was looking for a new identity to better reach and connect with their market. We incorporated an updated look with human emotive imagery and a soft extension of their color palette to create the right feel for their clientele. The project included the design and development of identity materials, core message, website, and sales literature.
