CHALLENGE

Recognizing an opportunity to spread the message of peace, compassion and hope across growing online channels, the Friends of the Dalai Lama needed assistance in developing an integrated online presence. In order to encourage and gather supporters of the Dalai Lama, provide a place for dialogue and support, and alert them to events and opportunities to spread His Holiness the Dalai Lama message of peace and compassion, Lama Tenzen Dhonden brought in the Articulation Agency to help shape the online creative vision and execution for its online presence.

STRATEGY

Friends of the Dalai Lama offered the opportunity to connect with supporters of the Dalai Lama and those curious about his message. By going beyond the original parameters of an event and video clip page and incorporating a high degree of imagery and social media directly into the website, Friends of the Dalai Lama was able to create a sense of community and belonging online. This naturally involved and augmenting the level and quantity of online social interactions. The website also needed space to help people understand the movement, what the Dalai Lama teaches, and how to get involved.

RESULTS

The resulting website proudly displays The Dalai Lama’s core tenants and provides visitors an interactive avenue in which to participate through in engagement and discussion. The fully responsive website launched in 2016 and was praised across social media. Its incorporation of large, involving imagery and bold yet profoundly human messaging captivates visiting audiences, adding to the cause and creating a place for people to gather and experience in the Dalai Lama’s vision together.
